Skin Care

Water has a major effect on how your skin looks and feels. It is used on a daily basis to cleanse the body, both inside and out. We drink water to hydrate our bodies and to flush out our system. We also use it in conjunction with products to clean our skin. So, how does water affect our skin?

Before water has a chance to run through your faucets, it goes through a series of filtering stages. This is a required process by the local government in your area to ensure that water is safe. But be mindful of any chemicals that may be in your water. Although there is a set filtration process, machines aren’t entirely perfect. The best way to find these numbers is to contact the water service department in your town or city.

When bathing, water that is too hot can be damaging to your skin. It draws out the moisture from your skin and causes it to be dry. This can make it itchy and irritated. The best temperature to use is warm water. Not too cold and not too hot.
